Creativity Center is the area at Connections that facilitates creative expression
for our clients in a variety of media. We appreciate the value of art in one's life and enjoy working together with our clients to create beautiful things. Clay ClassClay class is very excited to get their new clay program running! After purchasing a wonderful slab roller we're all set to start producing tile mosaics! The clay classes still provide time for our participants to practice their favorite clay skills and hand sculpting.
DrummingOur in-house Drumming group focuses on learning new beats and drumming along with our favorite music. We've got a collection of djembe drums and various percussion instruments to choose from and experiment with! This group may be a little noisy but they sure do enjoy the opportunity to let loose!
JewelryJewelry class is an opportunity to our participants to create necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. for their own personal use, to give as a gift, or possibly to even sell! The activity serves as a great exercise in hand-eye coordination and the participants find it quite relaxing!
NewsletterOur Newsletter group, or Public Relations Team as it has also been called, has the honor of developing The Connections' Chronicle, the program's newsletter, keeping Connections' Facebook up to date, and managing our website!
SewingOur sewing class consists of some very talented folks! We have a wealth of materials from sewing machines, embroidery patterns, and yarn to sock looms and a bedazzler!
TextilesMuch like Sewing, Textiles does a variety of hand crafted projects that promote dexterity, hand-eye coordination, creativity, relaxation, and most importantly, fun!

Community DrummingEvery Thursday morning a group from Connections goes to a Community Drumming Circle at Tucson Circus Arts where they have formed bonds with all of the drumming regulars! They are kind enough to share their drums and positive energy with us each week!
Music AppreciationConnections' Music Appreciation class studies music in a variety of fun ways. They sing, play, and interact with music and instruments. They study various musicals and learn songs and styles from
all eras. Painting ClassThe painting class is an opportunity for our participants to relax and express themselves doing a variety of projects. Working with water color paints, acrylic paints and many other materials, everyone always looks forward to seeing what the painting class has created that week!
SpeechSpeech is a special group of our participants that use an Augmented Communication device to assist them in their verbal communication. The group gets together with their iPads/tablets/talkers and role play, play games, and customize their speech program in order to promote the most efficient use of these tools that they have at their disposal!
Young at HeartYoung at Heart is a group that takes our older participants out for activities in the community together. They share stories and take their time while visiting the library, park, bowling alley, etc. All of the participants involved always look forward to their Young at Heart outing!
